MFAT

China Capable is a learning and development portal for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. They were keen to streamline users through the education portal and into learning pathways that would best meet their needs and grow their capabilities. They found that learners, for whatever reason, were not following these learning pathways and were, instead, doing sporadic videos.

This large overhaul of the user experience of China Capable was SUCH a fun project! Partnering closely with the lead content designer, we built on recent research establishing the user personas and the key motivations behind those personas. I lead synthesis sessions and created new user flows and wireframes based on our findings. We were then able to test our designs with learners within this sector and craft updates according to what the learners needed.
